Is there a simple way to recapture and replace an edited clip without having to type into the capture window the in and out timecodes? I understand that some NLEs allow you to select the edited clip in the timeline and then gives you the option to recapture and replace the exact same segment. This is useful if the original capture had digital artifacts or tracking errors that were discovered during editing.

Premiere Pro gives you the option to create batch lists, that can be saved. Take a look at the Premiere Pro help files for more info.

    Aanarav,

Could he save the project under a different name, unlink the media files using the option to remove the files from his drive, and then batch capture them again? This wouldn’t change his original project at all, would it?
