Hi Y’all…just a quick question to check I’m not missing anything.

I’m in the process of a rough cut and I’m using the rearrange edit a lot (click, drag-holding-option-and-command).

Unfortunately, I have video in a second track, and this doesn’t get affected by the rearrange edit, meaning it goes out of sync all the time (it’s between the places I’m going from and to). It does say clearly in the online manual that this is the case, but it seems crazy to me…

I can do a insert edit (clicking and dragging while holding command) and then a ripple delete which affects every track. But that’s two steps. Is it really true that this can’t be done with one step by holding some other collection of keys that I’m not aware of? Anyone else come across this?

Incidentally, I’ve tried targeting both video tracks, and the second track simply becomes un-targeted (and doesn’t move as desired) when I finish my rearrange edit.

    Cheers

    Tim
