Realtime conversion via Kona LH
Is there a setting which will allow us to output 1080i (to an HDCam deck) from a 720P timeline in FCP in real time, using the Kona LHe SDI output?
Is it critical how the clips have come into FCP from the Varicam (720p) original?Certainly, the conversion can be done internally by FCP, but rendering time seems to be a killer!
And by now I am convinced there is endless power contained within Aja’s mystical phrase “hardware acceleration”.If this is too obvious a question, I apologise – so far we have not figured it out.

Hi,
KONA LHe does not have cross-conversion, which is the feature you are looking for to convert 720 <-> 1080. The KONA 3 does have this capability, as well as SD to HD up-convert.
