    Dear Moos,

I just partitioned my Macbook core 2 due, 2.5 ghz, and installed windows NT Pro SP2 to run avid. however, I get the ominous adm_dsound_mixer_open_error. I take it is the Realtek High Definition Audio sound card(audio codec: ALC885; driver version: 5.10.0.5512). If I turn that device off thru the control panel, Avid, launches but without sound…no good. Is there a go around to make the sound work on this card, a driver I am missing or something? Or is this an avid version compatibility problem? I have avid express pro 4.6 and avid express pro hd 5.0 and both give me this error.

    thanks,

    zb
