Really weird exporting problem, HELP!!!!
I can’t figure this out at all…
I am exporting a high res SD file (uncompressed) after having added a 1.66 matte, and it seems to be causing me to degrade the image. Could be interlacing, or could be resolution. But it definitely looks worse.
In FCP it looks great. I did a test export WITHOUT the matte, and it looks great. Then, when I add the matte (or try to crop it, as an alternative), the export suddenly looks degraded. Literally the only thing I’ve changed is the matte/crop (both yield the same result). How could it be possible that the image would so drastically change?
Again, both of these were exported straight out of the same sequence in Final Cut Pro, using the same exact export settings. I have a side by side picture below (note the pixelation)…
