Really need fast assistance withwith Tascam recorder….
Hi all,
Job starting in a few hours… really confused about how Tascam wants me to think about recording two independent mono tracks from two mics.Does anyone know how to record to mono tracks using two mics? This is the simplest thing to do with the H4N. I’m so used to the H4n. Set 4-track recording and you are good to go.
With the DR-60, there is no apparent way to tell the thing that I want to record two individual mono tracks, one from each mic…. help?Talkingbox Digital Media Group, Inc.

Huh?
Doesn’t the Tascam record each mic input into a single channel – Left and Right – when you simply plug in two mics and hit record in plain old Stereo mode?
That’s what the H4n does in Stereo – (no need at all to go into 4 channel mode) unless you’re targeting the on-board mics rather than the A and B Inputs with the front panel target buttons.
I can’t believe that the Tascam would be setup to work any differently.
Just plug the two mics in. Leave it in stereo mode. Disable the built-in mice – and hit RECORD.
