  • Real-Time playback errors

All o f a sudden I’m getting the following message when playing back HD footage on the timeline: Real-Time playback errors occurred where there are no items to render.

    Any thoughts…?

    CPU i386
    Kona LHe

Drives too slow or too full? Or maybe you have rendered parts into Uncompressed instead of e.g. ProRes, so your drives reach their performance limit? Easy way to see this is to select all in your timeline, do a right click and then choose “Get Clip info”. Look at the “Codec” area of the resulting Bin.

Thanks for the great info. Pro Res was not an option – so I switched the codec from M100HD to DVCPRO_HD (Which is how I shot it) & it now playback is fine.
