    Hi there,
I have a question about a problem with real time effects:
A real time effect Cross Dissolve between two videodata files stops with the status message of dropped frames (format: AVI, 10 bit YUV, HD, 1920×1080, 25fps, Decklink Coder, both videos with the same settings and in the same layer). Although the raid system with eight disks is able to read 300 and write 380 MBytes per seconds (measured with Blackmagic Disk Speed Test). Without transitions these video files can be played without the error message

I’ve got a dual xeon system with a 133mhz bus for the decklink hd pro card, and i’ve got the same issue. I guess it isn’t the sustained read that’s not fast enough, but the seek time of the hard drives to “jump around” to read both shots at the same time. I wish there was an easy way just to disable realtime disolves so it renders instead.

    Stewart,

You can disable the RT FX in the “playback settings”

    Cheers,
