I’m trying to export to a real media file in FCP 4.5HD with Mac OS X 10.4.3. I’ve downloaded the plugin from Real Player’s website, but they’ve even said that it isn’t “compatible with 10.4 Tiger.” I thought I’d try it out, but they’re right, it’s not working for some reason. Any thoughts?

If the makers of the software say it doesn’t work…and it doesn’t work…what can we add?

    Non-advice:
Find a buddy with a PC who can handle the quick fix for you. Figure it out later.

Try using Snapz Pro X from Ambrosia (https://www.ambrosiasw.com) It’s a handy tool to have. Basically you’d play your Real Media file in Real Player, but with Snapz Pro X you draw a marquee around the picture and it will record that and the sound on your computer. Save it as a Quicktime movie with whatever settings you want, then import the file. It costs around $65-70.
