Is there any way to see the time/date stamp on video footage?

I am getting very frustrated trying to line up different clips of footage. I have one camera rolling constantly, plus one that record small clips. Lining these small clips up with the constantly running camera is a nightmare.

How does everyone else handle this?

Either let them both run, or get used to finding a point to sync up each clip. There is no magic answer unless you have cameras that know how to sync.

There is a nice plug-in for PremPro that keys in the time-stamp TC of individual clips as well as the project TC. It’s called DVDate by some Russian guy (not the prog with similiar name from France). It’s fantastic and costs only like $50 if I remember correctly.
