  As I understand it, AE is not a 64 bit program so it’s not surprising that Vista (in all its bloated glory) wasn’t able to do better.
  Apple’s computers have always done better vs. Windows machines with Adobe’s applications on computers with the same specs. The OS is simply better for that sort of thing.
