    I have footage 720x 576. codec: DVC-PAL

The footage is perfect once i play it back after capture.
I brought it into fcp and after a bit of editing i decided to watch it back on the full screen and it looks very grainy.

    What am i doing wrong??

When i scroll along the clip details in fcp it says under compressor that its DV-PAL 25 fps, and my sequence matches that DV-PAL.

I am very confused any ideas??

Any help will be very much appreciated…thanks.

If by FULL SCREEN you mean on your mac monitor, then it probably does look worse. Your original footage is 720×576 your mac monitor is much larger. Therefore the pixels are being enlarged and distorted.

If you look at it in a native 720×576 resolution player, it will probably look ok.

Assuming it’s a screen size issue, set your viewer to 100% (not full screen) and toggle ON “both fields”. This will be the best it can look on a computer screen.
