Re: Shooting 720p
I have an older SD project that I need to open up and make changes to. The client wants me now to shoot the replacement footage in 720p. My question is whether or not to shoot it in 30fps or 60fps? Or does it make a difference? I’ll need to add the new HD footage to a SD timeline.

720p/60 will give you a similar ‘live’ video look to match your older SD shots. If you shoot 720/30, you will get motion blur and more of a ‘film’ look that won’t match.

SD can can be 30fps or 60 half-frames a second – depending on how it was shot and with what camera.
If you shoot at 60p, you can still render it as 30p later on if you want, and it won’t look any different than if you had shot it at 30p.
