  Re-Rending QT Movie files

  So I just have a question about video quality when re-rendering a QT file. If someone gives me a .mov file and I import it in to AE and then render out a new movie does the video lose quality? When doing this is it best to have the original QT movie render with the Animation codec, I read that’s it’s the best quality codec?
