Does anyone know if there is a way or a script to relink files that have been moved to a new location outside of AE ?? example…..let’s say you have a project with alot of rendered sequences:

example 1st location of files: Z\\car\bcam\bumper.###.iff ( along with a tone of other files in same location)

but now they are moved to new 2nd location: X\\car\bcam\bumper.###.iff

****I need to have these files ALL re-linked pointing to the new location.*****

Instead of re-linking these all one-at-a-time, can these files be relinked at “one shot” inside of AE?

    A script? Thanks

If all the offline files are consolidated in one file – AE will automatically link all of the offline clips once you re-direct the first.

Like joshua said – if you keep the relative file paths the same, AE will auto-scan the folders and sub-folders and relink everything more or less automatically. Other than that it certainly is doable with a script by repointing the footage source property. Not sure if something along those lines already exists, though.
