    Hello All,
This a little pedestrian, but could someone please tell me what it means when there is a clip thumbnail in the timeline that shows “media offline” – but when you play through the clip /sequence, the clip plays “just fine”.

A ‘match’ operation doesn’t replace the ‘media offline’ image — and sometimes, when you click on another sequence — then click back on the ‘troubled’ sequence — the thumbnails will be restored — but then do that again, and you get the ‘media offline’ thumbnail.

Worst case: Does it mean that clip has been corrupted?
Best Case: It’s ‘one of those things’ that quitting and rebooting will take care of?

Anyone else run into this before?
    Many thanks in advance –
    sm

It’s a bug, ignore it, I get it all the time. After opening and working and saving the project a few times, it usually goes away. If it working properly, ignore the off-line icon, it’s a bug.

Delete the thumbnail cache file. That may take care of it.

had exactly that on my last project aswell. everything was ok though. no corrupted files or anything else. so it really is just a small little bug.
