  I’m not at my graphics computer now, but I’ll try the update and see if that fixes the crashing. It’s been over a year since the last time I updated the PI program. I’m on WinXP Pro.

  I had decided to create a dissolve in the NLE timeline anyway so it looks like I’m on the right track. I’ll try the tutorial also.

  I meant that that emitter was 15 in the subset labelled ‘backgrounds’ (I think). We rented Bill Maher’s DVD I’M SWISS and on it he performs in front of a blue-red backdrop made of fabric lit with colored lights. It was a good look for a project I’m working on and I thought, hmmmm, I wonder. I was happy to find an emmiter already set up to mimic that.
