“Re-interlacing” Canon 5D mk II
Hey!
I just did some video on a Canon 5D and it will be broadcasted on a regional television station in a few weeks. But I need to make my recordings look a bit more “smooth” – I know, that it’s not possible to get the smoothness of an original 50i signal, and that’s not my goal, but it must be possible to make the progressive look just a little less… progressive..??
I’ve got Premiere Pro CS5 and Avid…

That wouldn’t makes nothing. Would be no movement between both fields of the same frame. Basically you would get p25psf, so still Progressive.You need some software that makes a real re-interlacing. If you want 50 interlaced pictures out of 25 progressive, first you have to create 25 new in-between pictures; then you take one field from each.
