I am trying to import Ai vector files into AE CS3 and I am having problems find the ‘continuous rasterize’ button.
    any suggestions?

If you are having problems finding the button be sure that your that your Switches/Modes toggle is set to switches.

You can paste the paths from your ai file on to a solid. Then you won’t have to worry about continual rasterization.

Be sure the “preserve paths” option is checked and simply copy and paste.

    Thanks for the quick response!
I tried pasting the file onto a solid however I think because I had used a brush for my paths it wasn’t accepting that in AE, so it ended up looking like every thing was doubled stroked. By any chance you wouldn’t happen to know a way around that, I am not sure if there is.
I did eventually find the continuous rasterize button which does give me the quality i was looking for!

    thanks again

Sounds like you have a solution figured out. For future reference:

If you expand the image in AI before you copy and paste that should ensure that the appearance is the same in both programs.

    Object > Expand

This way you can animate masks.
