With the new iMovie HD, I can no longer import clips into After Effects, since they’re invisible. Is there a way I can find them on my hard drive (I searched for invisible items with no results), or do i have to export them first – and if i do have to export it, is there a way to export it without compression, (I didn’t see any). ANY help appreciated.

    thanx in advance,

    -A.N.

Locate your iMovie project file in the finder – then control click on it: that gives you a contextual menu in which the fourth item down is “Show Package Contents” – that will open the project package exposing your media folder. The clips you want to import to AE are in the media folder, and you would do best to option drag (copy) them to a different folder where they will remain visible to After Effects.
