re: FCP & Blackmagic constantly crash
I recently upgraded my system to fcp 5.0.3 QuickTime 7.0.3 and Blackmagic 5.1.2. The System is a dual processor G5 with a decklink HD Plus Card. I am onlining a 20 min documentary which was offlined at dv resolution then the media was reconnected in a Blackmagic 10bit RGB sequence. The reconnecting process went fine but when I started to color correct FCP began to crash constantly. I have trashed the FCP preferences and reinstalled the decklink software. I am at a loss as to what is causing the problem. any insight would be greatly appreciated.

I don’t know what is causing the crashing but DO NOT CC 10bit RGB in FCP beacuse it renders only 8bit – if this is the only possebilty I would adwise to convert the footage to 10bit YUV
