    I was trying to get an answer below but it seems that it says it has been solved. I just don’t know how to get to the root.

    Can someone guide me to the file itself? I got into Regedit and got to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT > Vegas110_w64

    Not exactly sure where it is and how to change it. Thanks in advanced.

    Here is a screenshot of regedit. The backslashes in my post were removed and made it hard to understand.

    Your value for the default is probably vegas110 and you need to change it to vegas120 to get it to launch with Vegas Pro 12

    or put this in a text file (without the =======’s)

    ============================================
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareClasses.veg]
    @=”vegas120″
    ============================================

    Save it as fixveg.reg and then double click on it to merge it into the registry.

    It stripped out the backslashes on your post too.

    I’ve had this logged with SCS and they have responded with that it is a known bug and are working on it.

    What can I say? Other than I am NOT going to mess with my registry – no!

    Cheers

    Grazie

    Try this:
    ==========================================
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareClasses.veg]
    @=”vegas120″

    ==========================================

    2-Xeon X5680 @ 3.33, EVGA SR-2 Mobo, 48GB DDR3, GTX 580 3072MB, 16TB Attached Storage, Win7, Vegas 11 x64

    Well I doubled the backslashes and it previewed normal! Now they’re all gone.
