Re-Conforming to 24P
Have client that shot XDCAM at 23.98 and converted it to 1080i 59.94 for online. Now they want a 24P output for a film out.
I have an idea how I would do it, but I’ve never physically gone through the process. I would appreciate anyone that can give me advice on how to deal with this project.

No Love?
OK, here’s my plan then. Output an EDL from FCP at 59.94. Conform the sequence to 23.98 via Cinema Tools (File > Export > Converted EDL > 30 to 24). I then import the EDL, re-Ingest the offline clips at 23.98, and then reconnect the media. Then I’ll check each cut for missing frames because of the match back.
Pretty sure this would work. Anyone tried it?

Why don’t you take the 23.98 timeline (pre-conform to 59.94) and online that?
