    Hi guys,

any idea how I can fix audio clipping sound that is popping up every 30 sec to a min for a 1 hour loop of a 20 sec sequence? The clipping sound was not there when I used it for a week but now it is happening. Audio file is in aif format 48 hz. using DVCpro50 setting for seq. Loop clip is a QT mov of DVCpro 50 codec. I would change the QT movie every day and loop it… render in motion.

Tried mixdown and copying and pasting to new seq but not helping. Will try starting a new project tomorrow.

Anything I should be looking into?

    Thanks in advance.

Post more about your setup. Which Mac, OS, versions of FCP and QuickTime are you running? Is there a capture card involved? got the latest drivers for it, or the ones made specifically for your OS?

    Sorry,

system is FCP 5.03, G5 2ghz, 4 gigs ram, OS 10.4… QT have not checked but shold be ver 7 that comes with 10.4. Audio file is 48 khz 16 bit same as sequence settings.

I noticed mixdown reduce the clip levels but it is there. Overcome it by re inserting the audio….. will also use an export to aiff and reimport them.

Thanks in advance Jerry… if you know the problem… hear from you! Notice another problem with audio…. another thread for today!

    cheers!
