  • Re-Attaching Clips?

Posted by Micaela Cook on May 30, 2008 at 4:59 pm

This might be basic, but I haven’t had luck figuring it out yet: Is there any way to re-attach clips in the timeline? Like, the opposite of using the razor tool?

I want to put effects on my whole project at once, but I’ll have to do it 17 times unless there is a way to re-attach the clips after they are cut. Any advice is much appreciated. Thank you,

    Micaela

Are the cuts from one clip? If so, and there’s little red arrows pointing at the cuts, you can simply select the cut and delete them.

If the media is from all different clips, then you can select them all and add an effect all at once.

You can also export your sequence as a ref movie, then reimport that movie and add an effect to your now married clip.

YOu can also drag your current sequence into a new sequence and place the effect on the resulting nest.

You could just nest your sequence. Lasso the whole thing and then use ctrl+c to create a new nested sequence with no edits, and then you’ll only need to apply the effect once.

Also, you could apply the effect to one clip, and then copy and use paste attributes to apply it to the rest.

I don’t think you want to undo all your edits just to apply an effect.

    Good luck!
