    “If a master clip linked to the same media already exists: Independent clips that are linked to the same source media on disk become affiliates of these preexisting master clips.” pg. 283

    I am trying to re-associate independent clips from my sequences with thier respective master clips.
    All of my master clips are organized in bins within the same project as my sequences.
    When I use the ‘create master clips’ tool, it only manages to recreate all of my master clips, without re-associating any of them with the ones already in my project.

    Am I interpreting the manual wrong? Is there another way to re-create an association from an independent clip with a master clip already in the project?
