That’s a great idea, however, my only question is this. If I purchase a cheap DV camera (to use as you suggested for capturing only), will it be able to play back my tapes that I recorded on the XL 2 in 24P/16:9 mode. Or 60i? That’s my only issue. Or does it not matter to a DV camera? It will play anything?
