    Hello,

If I use the razor blade tool in the middle of a take or to tighten the flow between two scenes, a gap always results- how do I manipulate it so that any razor blade cut results in all the footage to the right of that cut, on the timeline, is automatically moved to the left to fill in the gap?

    Thanks,

Instead of just lifting out a section which I assume you’re doing with the delete key. Use ripple delete by pressing shift-delete or the forward delete key on an extended keyboard.

    All the best,

Yes I was using just the delete key. Thank you very much.

close gap or ripple delete works well but for the future you may want to try using the trim tools. it’s a bit more exact and won’t leave gaps.
