shot some photos with a Canon 60d in Raw format and can not import them to Premiere Pro CC. I copied the photos from the SD card to an external drive. Do I have to convert to tiff files? Should I have shot in Canon RGB?

Do you have the latest Adobe Camera RAW update?

HUGE still images can sometimes cause problems in Premiere projects in my experience. Even several JPEGS with large frame sizes can lead to a slower experiece.

Of course this will depend on your system, but I would be tempted to export them down to as close as the frame size as your sequence as possible if that suits your editing purpose (obviously leaving them larger if you are wanting to zoom/pan around the image).

I converted the raw photos to tiff files with Photoshop Elements. I was able to import but still to large for PP to handle. I have to reduce size for editing and grading.
