Good Day! I have a pressing matter concerning Canon’s Digital Photo Pro RAW software and bringing it into photoshop CS2. I shoot a 50D so I have to use Canon’s RAW software until I upgrade my version of Photoshop. I work in Adobe RGB in both applications, but when I use the “send to Photoshop” command and it opens up in Photoshop, the image is considerably darker. I have a screen grab here so you can see:

Any enlightenment as to why this is happening would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot!

I think this is something you’re just going to have to deal with once its in photoshop. Different programs read files a little differently sometimes. Also there is a free update to camera raw that includes the Canon 50D. I have elements 6 and it worked for me (i also shoot with a 50D). Its available on the adobe website or you can just follow the link below. Scroll down to cs2.

Thanks for the reply! I was actually able to solve my dilemma. I had Digital Photo Pro pointing to the wrong display icc profile. Once I corrected that I was in business. Thanks again!
