Rate of Play
hey, my question is about the rate of play in a clip. now i can change how fast the clip plays but it doesnt alter the sound, it just cuts parts out and speeds it up, the desired effect i would like, is that of, wen u adjust the rate bar and the left hand side, it does exactly wat i wud like, although it applys it to the whole movie, and even then it doesnt apply it wen rendered, i would like to apply the rate effect to a certain portion of my movie that i have split, thanks 🙂

The bar you refer to is for preview purposes. If you want to “really” change the rate of an event, hold down Ctrl and drag the right hand edge. Making the event longer slows it down, shorter speeds it up.
There are other ways of affecting playback rate, but try that for starters.
