  • “rasterize” expression?

Posted by Randall Bennett on January 16, 2006 at 12:30 am

    Hey hey,

So, I made an expression based on time (time of each comp.) Now, i’d like to rasterize all these values, so I won’t have to calculate the position of something each time I render a comp (not to mention that as I use subcomps, the calculations are based off of the same time as the main comp, so I get duplicate results instead of alternating.) Anyone know any easy way to do this?

    Thanks,

    Randall Bennett

Is this what you’re looking for?

Animation > Keyframe Assistant > Convert Expression to Keyframes

    Hey Dan,

Yeah, that’s exactly what I was looking for. I didn’t know any other way to express (pun!) what I meant.

BTW, thanks for doing all the expressions stuff you’ve done on Creative Cow. It really has taken my animation to new levels (and taken me to not having to keyframe as much.)

    Later,

    Randall
