  • Randomly adjust colour temperature subtley in AE?

I’d like to have it so that every frame adjusts the warmth of the image slightly, and I assume it would be possible using a wiggle expression, but I’m not sure how. I’d like to do it with one of the color effects in AE, but again, I’m not sure the best way of doing this. It would be good to be able to specify the threshold of how warm and cool the wiggle is adjusting, so it doesn’t go too cold or too warm, but keeps it subtle. How could this be possible?

Can I just use some kind of generic expression with the hue effect?

Unfortunately, Hue won’t take an expression. You could try CC Color Offset, and use something like this on the Red Phase:

    wiggle(1,50)

and this on the Blue Phase:

    -effect(“CC Color Offset”)(“Red Phase”)

This is a perfect start, thank you! Is there a way to add some nervousness/randomness to it, so the wiggle doesn’t just perfectly cycle, rather it has a bit of jerkiness to the changes of color?
