I’m trying to randomise fonts in an project in Motion 3; I’ve tried using various behaviours but none seem to be applicable to the font family itself just parameters like scale, rotation etc. Anyone got any idea’s that won’t mean long frame by frame adjustments?

    Cheers Ben

Do you mean randomize the characters–glyphs– or actually replace the typeface randomly.
One us the Character Offset parameter. Oops, sorry, that’s what it’s called in After Effects. I’m not at my Motion machine to check it for you right now.
I don’t think there’s a way to randomize the typeface. We would do that in AE by duplicating the layer (once all of your other typography is finished) and use a different typeface in each copy. Then figure out a way to change the layers in and out apparently at random.

Stick around, you’ll get better advice over a couple of hours or days.
