I was just experimenting around with creating 2.5D text within AE similar to the method shown on the GrayscaleGorilla blog: https://greyscalegorilla.com/blog/2009/12/how-to-make-3d-text-live/.
Essentially a couple dozen beveled text layers distributed closely together in Z space, it ended up looking great; however for some reason a bunch of extra pixels were generated from the “extrusion” layers whenever i orbit around the completed text. These pixels were not visible when not using my comp camera. I was wondering if there is an explanation for why this would be happening? (especially with continuously rasterizing text layers)

I’ve used Maltaannon’s 3D text extruder preset (which essentially functions in the same way) and several other methods for generating faux “3D” text within AE & never encountered such a problem before.

What do you mean by extra pixels? Can you attach an example?
