    Is there any way to make an effect make random values through a whole video clip?, in this case i want brightness to jump up and down through a whole movieclip.

    Just add a random opacity expresssion to your adjustment layer.

    Just apply the Brightness/Contrast filter and add a random expression to the brightness parameter:
    Play with the values to taste.

    eh, yea.. did i mention i’m not very good in AE, guess not 🙂
    how do I ad this expression?

    Select the Brightness parameter of your effect in the Timeline then Shift+alt+= You will then see some highlighted text in the Timeline. Replace that text with the mentioned expression.
