  • RAM preview plays faster than real time…

    When I RAM preview it plays around 75 fps. I’ve consulted Motion Help and can’t find anything about forcing this to RT.

    Maybe this is related to my eariler post about field dominance…

    There is a preferences setting which limits the preview to the FPS setting you have set up for your project. I can’t recall exactly where in prefrences this is at but if you go to the Prefrences menu option (cmd-,) you should be able to find it.

    Thanks. Its under the Project prefs at the bottom: Limit playback speddd to project frame rate. Its disabled by default. I scoured the Grand Tour book and Help file and hadn’t seen this.

    This switch is actually enabled by default, precisely because of the potential for the problem you ran into. I’m not sure how it got unchecked on your system, but it’s not the default setting, I can assure you.
