My RAM preview locks up at the same point in my timeline and I can’t figure out why. This is a basic clip of video dissolves and text with one continuous digital overlay on it. At about 35 seconds in the timeline stops, sits and then starts playing. If I try to coneinue the RAM preview it stops, sits and the starts playing without finishing the preview. Sometimes I can place my marker on that point play through that point and then do a RAM preview and it will jump though the bad spot.

Any thoughts? This is the only project that I am having this problem but I haven’t done anything different than any other project.

    I am running 6.5 pro.

It looks like you have run out of RAM. Have a look at what quality you are RAM previewing at in the Time Controls; Full, Half, Third etc. If it is at Full, you might want to lower the quality and then you will be able to have a longer RAM preview. You could also try trimming your work area if you just wanted to RAM preview a specific area.

I am RAM previewing a 1 minute spot. I have the resolution set at full but am skipping as many as 8 frames. I know that it can do it because it often does. But even if I put it at half resolution and 10 frames it still locks up in that one spot. I even “purge all” before trting to preview and it still does it.

Hopefully it won’t do it in any other projects as it seems to be isolated to this one for now.

    Thanks
