    Hi.

    How much does it affect if i add more ram to MacPro?
    What i have in mind is if to go with 7 (1+6) or 13 (1+12)gigs.

    I guess it would help with FCP STP and colour running
    in combination at the same time?

    In general term, more RAM will help you run multiple applications better. Personally, 13Gb sounds like overkill for what you describe, but you may see less slowdown under certain circumstances. I believe FCP only manages to use 2Gb (or is it 3Gb now?). It wasn’t long ago that 8Gb was a HUGE amount of RAM, so perhaps it all just sounds like overkill to the older hands…

    13GB RAM?? Overkill?

    Makes me feel like Doc Brown when he heard about 1.21 GIGAWATTS!!!

    Maybe he ment that applications do not use it really effectively ?
