  RAID Sector/Block sizes

  Hi all,

  Wondering if someone can help me out and can confirm some RAID settings for me. Specifically the Sector and Block sizes of my RAID.

  The RAID will be used with both a stand-alone Final Cut Pro system and one of the Bob Zelin/Small Tree Communications affordable SAN/NAS central storage systems.

  The machines that it will be connected to are Mac Pro Nehalem’s.

  The material is footage/material for FCP.

  The RAID system is an 8-Drive ProAvio Tower (Mini-SAS) and the RAID card is the RocketRaid 4322.

  I’m assuming that I want:
  256k Block Size
  512b Sector Size

  But I’d love it if one of the CreativeCow gurus could either tell me I’m right or set me straight if I’m wrong.
