Hi, (i’m not super technologically advanced:)

I’m working with a MAC PRO 2×2.66 GHz Dual Core INtel Xeon with 6GB RAM
    OSX version 10.4.11

I’ve purchase an 8TB RAID Tower for P2 footage, the guy who built the raid called it a Raid 10 or (1+0).

I brought it to a post house to have some HDCAM footage digitized and put on the tower. We had trouble there with it dismounting for no reason. Finally it worked. Now it’s back in our offices and it will not mount on the desk top.

I see it in disk utility. I try to verify disk and it says “ERROR: THE UNDERLYING TASK REPORT FAILURE ON EXIT”

I try disk Repair and get “1 VOLUME COULD NOT BE REPAIRED BECAUSE OF AN ERROR”.

Many forums are saying to use DISK WIZARD, but also to back up first. I can’t get onto the drive to access my footage in order to back up.

(and i bought the bloody raid to be a back up so do i need another back up for the raid!?!?)

I tried repairing from start up disk as the apple forums suggest. But in that disk utility i could not see the drives from my raid. I verified and repaired whatever could be repaired from there) I went back to normal boot and i could again see the raid in disk utility but not repair.

    Any ideas???
    Very much appreciated in advance.
    Frederic
