  Raid card for MacPro…needed or not?

  So my objective is to record 10bit uncompressed 1920×1080 4:2:2 to my macpro

  I was thinking of getting 3 200gb drives since the videos are only 5-8min.

  Would I need a raid card? Or would the new octocore macpro have a software raid that would do it?
  What raid card if I needed would you all suggest. I dont want to spend $400-500 on apples card since its expensive. A $100-$200 solution would be optimal. Please let me know.
