  RAID 50

  to stripe the two RAID50 volumes together using diskutility will it erase everything on the volumes before it stripes the two together? and also when creating the raid, for RAID type, do i select mirrored, striped, or concatenated. i’ll assume striped. and for the options how big would i want my RAID block size to be?
