I’m having problems with color banding when using radial gradients. I know I’ve seen it somewhere in a tutorial, but does anyone know how to get rid of this?

    Thanks, Chris- Mn

Also, check to see whether the banding persists in your output files. In most cases, the banding that you see in previews goes away in the output. The reason is that After Effects introduces dithering when generating gradients in 8bpc output, but that dithering isn’t done for the preview in the Composition panel. Also, note that banding that you see on a common LCD monitor is often a result of the quantization done by the monitor itself.
