r19 renders out an additional “A_” alpha matte movie? – no matter what checkboxes are set – = update: it’s a BUG
We recently upgraded to R19 here at work here, and discovered that it’s switched to using Media Core to render out , we used to render out elements using Animation Millions+… but now forced to render to ProRes 4444 in order to render out a movie with an imbedded Alpha channel.
BUT, no matter what checkbox we have checked, it still seems to render out an ADDITIONAL alpha-matte movie.
Any idea how to turn this off? as there’s no need for it since the main movie already has an alpha.

after contacting Maxon about it, it’s been determined to be a bug which they’ll be addressing in a future update.
