R13 where’s ‘new’ template

October 25, 2011 at 12:46 pmWhen you open a new project in c4d I believe it loads an existing template.c4d file that you can tailor to your requirements.
Do you know where this file is so that I can overwrite it?
Many thanks

October 25, 2011 at 2:07 pmCreate the settings you want and then save a scene called New.c4d to your Cinema root directory (where the Cinema executables are located).

I remember doing this some time ago with R11 but then when c4d went 64bit the pref files were placed somewhere like Win/users/nnn/appdata/roaming/maxon etc etc and I just couldn’t puzzle out what or where:-(

October 25, 2011 at 6:00 pmYou can always locate the prefs directory by going to the edit>preferences menu. There’s a button at the bottom of the dialogue that will open up the file location in Windows Explorer or Apple Finder.
