Quiet 4 or more bays esata external DAS

Hello.
I am considering buying an external RAID array with on board controller, capable of RAID 5 and enough speed for HD 1080i ProRes video editing. The interface should be e-sata, so that I can use it now on my 2008 MP and with an adapter on my MBP with TB port, and on a future MP or iMac. Some of the smaller units I already own are too noisy for anything other than backup. It’s a real issue for me. Can you suggest an unit with those specs? USB3 would be a great other option. I found a lot of units on the web, at very different prices, but I can’t be sure about the noise.

ProAvio EB400CR is quiet (“ultra-low noise”), has eSATA, USB 3.0 and FW800 connections; cables included.

Alex recommondation seems to be good.
Can you give us a review of your experiences with the raid?
This would be useful for our forum. There are a lot of similar raids on the market, so your opinion of your new raid is interesting.

Wasn’t sure if you were asking me or Fabrizio – but anyway: it’s a well built, compact, cool and quiet box with the right connections and health monitoring. Several of them are being used by my clients, and no complaints thus far.

I’ll search for one here in Italy. If i find one at a reasonable price I’ll buy it and post a first hand review.

It seems that product is not available here. The ProAvio “find a dealer” section points to a shop offering the same line under the name “Enhance Tecnology”, but that model or a similar one is not on the list. The shipping from US dealers is too expensive, so I’ll have to go for a different unit.
