    Hi

In FC 4.5 under export quictime was mpeg2 now it’s gone – could this have been thanks to mpeg2 playback component!?
I dont rembeber installing anything extra to get that – the thing is that I make my proofs on DVD and if I had everything rendered I got about 2x reltime output from mpeg ecoding (single pass), the times that I get from compressor2 are ridiculous
I think that copressor 2 has the same problem as compressor 1 it re-renders evry frame – but it is even slower than FCP in rendering so I need fast and robust way to make dvd’s and I dont want to buy extrenal DVD recorder…..

    any hope?

  • Why not just use iDVD?

It will do “its own” compression when you send it a QT movie of your project.

I get excellent results on any program I burn that is up to 1 hour, 30 minutes in length.
