QuickTimeX h.264 color distorts colors!
I have ran in to a weird problem!
I often export using h264.When I run a h264 file with QT X it distorts the colors
When I run the same file with QUICK TIME 7 or vlc it works with the right colors
Is this a common thing? Why is it happening? is there a way to fix it?
Is the problem in the file or in the player?here are some examples

Quicktime X is still in development. It stinks. I don’t use it.

You have no control over what your clients view your final output on. All you can do is insure that you make it look the best it can possibly look. If they use substandard players, it’s on them, not you.
I make shows for broadcast. Online and color correct too. I do so with a nicely calibrated broadcast monitor…I make it look the best I can using that. I output a tape, or a full res file for delivery to the networks. Then it is compressed for air, and then broadcast, and played on any number of HDTV (or normal TV) sets. If the person watching…if say my producers were watching on a horrid little HDTV, they might complain. But then I show them the master and say “this is what I gave them. How it is compressed, and what device you use to watch it is out of my control.”
