  quicktime x trim

  I just submitted a quicktime file (to a broadcast house) that was supposed to be 30 seconds and was accidentally 32. I trimmed the clip in quicktime X to 30 seconds and resaved. the file info said 30 secs. however when i resubmitted the file the broadcast house said it was still 32 seconds. is there something im missing about the trim function?
